I cannot believe that I leave my little town of Sleepy Hollow, NY tomorrow! After months of preparation, I finally feel as ready as I can be for this journey to the Siberian Arctic. Although incredibly nervous and anxious, I’m ridiculously excited to begin this amazing adventure. I’ve packed and repacked my suitcase several times, making sure that I have everything I need and am under the weight limit. Hopefully I’ll get some sleep tonight after the huge last dinner my mom is making for me, so that I can make it through the next few days of grueling travel. I look forward to sharing this wonderful experience with all of my new friends, and to do some really good science at the same time. Can’t wait to see everyone tomorrow!
