What is the Polaris Project?

The Polaris Project is an NSF-funded program to enhance undergraduate research and education at several US and Russian institutions. The project involves development of new undergraduate courses in Arctic System Science and a field course in the Siberian Arctic.

Who can apply for the field course?

The field course is open to eligible undergraduate students who attend one of the member institutions. Contact the team member at your school for more information.

Who do I contact for more information on science and education from the Polaris Project?

The Polaris Project is managed by Dr. Max Holmes at the Woods Hole Research Center. Please contact Max for questions surrounding the science and education efforts under the Polaris Project. If you have a question for one of the team members, you may contact them directly.
